Chadwick A. Gambrell has been employed with the Department for over 33 years. He proudly began his career in Laurens County as a Caseload Agent, later becoming the Court Coordinator and then Team Leader. Gambrell was further promoted to Assistant Agent in Charge of Spartanburg County, Agent in Charge of Laurens and Greenwood Counties, and Agent in Charge of Greenville County. Former Director Jerry Adger appointed Gambrell to Deputy Director in 2021. He has served on several major committees over the years which include the 2005 Sex Offender Management Committee, 2009 Sentencing Reform Act Committee, 2011 Elected Board Member for the SC Probation & Parole Association, 2013 Administrative Hearing Review Task Force, and in 2018 was nominated for the Strategic Planning Committee. Gambrell has a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of South Carolina where he majored in Criminal Justice. He is a member of the SC Probation & Parole Association, the American Probation and Parole Association, as well as the National Institute of Corrections.
